I looked back in the “Set Calculation Order” dialog box and it had appeared at the very bottom, well after I re-arranged them. Luckily, I was able to change the calculation to be the 3s. I tried the last 3 I needed “3MaterialColorPrice” and it had a calculation but wasn’t on the list. So I checked to make sure they are set to calculate something. They are on the form but not represented in the “Set Calculation Order” dialog box. The 4s, 5s & 10s are not in the field box. All the 1s, 2s, 3s, 6s, 7s, 8s and 9s show up. Only a fourth of the calculable fields show up in the Calculation Field box. So now your form not only looks great, it also gives you and your users immediate information. Unless you write the JavaScript, leave the field unformatted as Acrobat will still calculate the proper value. The only way to guarantee a seamless division operation is to use a JavaScript IF statement to define conditions for the field when it's blank. If you open the Format tab and choose Number from the Format category, you'll see an error message. If you leave the default settings for the field as unformatted content, the field shows NaN-which means Not a Number. You won't have any surprises with adding, subtracting, or multiplying, but a division calculation can cause display problems. Click Preview to toggle the Preview mode to test your work.Click OK and you'll see the expression on the Properties dialog box. Again, make sure you don't have any spaces. In the JavaScript Editor, type FieldB/FieldA.In the Calculate tab for the results field, choose Simplified Field Notation, and click Edit.Click OK and you'll see the expression show on the dialog box.Type the expression in the editor, such as Field1-Field2.click Edit to open the Javascript Editor.Now click the Simplified Field Notation radio button.Open the Properties for the results field.Subtraction and division are a bit harder since you don't have a simple option to pick. Click Pick to open a list of the fields in your form, select the fields you want to multiply, and click OK to list the fields in the dialog box.
